Who we are

What is Aunt Sally?

"Aunt Sally" refers to a traditional pub game played in Oxfordshire and surrounding areas of England.

It involves players throwing sticks at a wooden skittle (the "dolly") mounted on a post, aiming to knock it off.

The game is known for its social aspect and is often played in leagues within pubs

The league formed in 2024 at the new venue after the closure of the previous venue “The Gladiators Club”

  • 4 matches are played a night.

  • The league is contested over 14 weeks in a round robin format.

  • Each match is played over 3 legs, with 6 points up for grabs.

Additional weeks are played after the league phase for competitions such as, Singles, Pairs and the team “Memorial Cup”
